A Gift Guide for Her
Ya’ll, it’s official! My tree is up, Mariah is playing, and everyone seems to be in the Christmas spirit. It really is the most wonderful time of year. Instead of my 5 Things I Love Right Now post, this month I’m sharing my All I Want for Christmas wish list, aka the ultimate gift guide for her.
Feel free to send this list to your hubby, mom, or aunt as a way of dropping a hint, or, reference it while shopping for your bff, sister, or favorite cousin. Each of the gifts on this list are high quality, affordable, and very likely to make the cut for “best thing I got this year”.
Their pillowcases have been scientifically proven to prevent wrinkles, eliminate bed head and curb those dreaded facial sleep creases, allowing you to wake up like the goddess you are.
Made from mulberry silk with a thickness of 22 momme, they are hypoallergenic, naturally cooling, and less absorbant than cotton so they will leave your face and hair more hydrated.
At $79 (plus free shipping), it’s one of the best self-care investments you can make, for yourself or someone you love.

I cannot scroll through the ‘gram without stumbling on a photo of someone’s She Reads Truth Bible. Only, at first, I just thought my super artsy friends were highlighting verses with their calligraphy skills.
Turns out, the She Reads Truth Bible does that for you. They have taken one key verse from each book in the bible (66 total) and turned them into hand-lettered works of art. Together, those verses summarize the book they precede — aiding in memorization, and effectively outlining the entire bible.
What I love about the creative and thoughtful design of this bible is that it only adds to beauty, goodness, and truth of the scripture. Each book has its own custom reading plan, broken out into easy-to-read sections, as well as maps, charts, and timelines to give you cultural context for better understanding.
The Bible is God’s word, His gift to humanity, a roadmap to life, and the She Reads Truth Bible presents it in the most inviting and heartfelt way.

If there’s one thing I need to remind myself to do admist the hustle and bustle of the season, it’s to slow down, be in and enjoy the moment. One thing that always helps me do that? Lighting a candle.
My absolute favorite candles are by Paddywax.
They have a few different collections depending on your preference, but each candle is intentionally curated with the finest ingredients and hand-poured in Nashville. The wicks are 100% cotton and clean burning, adding peace of mind to an already relaxing environment.
Of their collections, my go-to for gifting is their Urban Wax Candles. Not only do they come in the cutest (repurposeable) concrete vessel, but each of the scents are perfectly alluring.
I find myself gravitating towards their Tobacco + Patchouli (white), Sea Salt + Sage (mint green), and Amber + Smoke (gold) candles, though I also love their Eucalyptus + Santal (forest green) and Bergamot + Mahogany (rose gold).
Basically, whoever you’re shopping for, you can’t go wrong.
Prices range from $10-$40 depending on size (unless you go all out on their three-wick triangular candle for $54, heart eyes for days). All linked orders ship free.

The way to my heart is with a good planner. Seriously, I plan everything. At this point I think I’ve tried every planner on the market. There are none I love more than Rifle Paper Co’s.
First of all, just looking at them makes me happy (I promise you won’t find a prettier planner). Second of all, the layout is genius. They have all the sections you’d hope to find in a planner without anything unnecessary.
They have two versions I’d recommend depending on your preference. The first is their Coral Cloth 7.75″L x 5.25″W calendar ($30). It’s compact enough for a girl on the go who likes to have her planner with her at all times.
The other is the spiral bound Penned Posies 10″L x 8.25″W planner ($34), which has separate monthly and weekly calendars. This is the one I keep at my desk for blog planning and it practically begs me to stay organized.
This particular gift is one that will keep on giving in 2018.
Get ready for the best kept beauty secret of all time: jade rolling. Alicia Keys does it. Celebrity skin gurus swear by it. Empresses have used it since the 17th century. It’s nothing new, but if you’re just discovering it, it will revolutionize the way you care for your skin.
Even if the person you’re shopping for is a minimalist with a low-key routine, they are going to want this handy little tool. (I know because I’m a minimalist with a low-key routine).
It reduces puffiness, eliminates toxins, relieves sinus pressure, reduces under eye circles, improves elasticity, reduces wrinkles, tones facial muscles, and increases the bloodflow to the skin.
You can keep it in the fridge or freezer and use it first thing in the morning after applying your moisturizer to cool and soothe the skin. Roll from the inner part of your face going outward, using the small side under your eyes and the larger side everywhere else.

BTW, after you get it for your friend, you’re inevitably going to want to get one for yourself (speaking from experience). I’ve got you covered though because Essential Apothecary is teaming up with us to give one lucky reader their best-selling jade roller, just in time for Christmas.
